Come work at Team Iowa, a leading promotional products company in Cedar Rapids. We are searching for a full-time, reliable embroidery machine operator to join our fun and fast-paced work environment. As an embroidery machine operator, you’ll have the opportunity to operate state-of-the-art embroidery machinery to produce top quality products for our customers. You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating the machines, preparing garments for embroidery, performing quality control checks, performing routine equipment maintenance to ensure the best possible outcome.
To be successful as an embroidery machine operator, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to keep track of multiple work orders, while being aware of order due dates. Outstanding candidates will possess both analytical and artistic skills. Experience is a plus but not required.
Embroidery Machine Operator Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot industrial-sized embroidery machines to manufacture embroidered goods at the highest quality and efficiency standards
Prepare the machine for garments, including loading digitized designs into the machine network and making manual thread color and needle changes as needed
Prepare garments for decorating, including hooping mechanisms and backing placement to ensure the highest possible quality and output
Examine completed work to detect product defects and verify accuracy, adjusting the machinery as needed to correct quality or efficiency issues
Perform routine machine maintenance, including daily oiling, lint control and cleaning
Collaborating with others in solving decorating challenges
Analyzing and understanding project specifications and clients’ needs before starting each embroidery project.
Providing suggestions regarding the design, placement, and fabric and thread selection.
Keeping track of work orders and updating records.

Embroidery Machine Operator Requirements:
High school diploma.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
The ability to read and understand instructional manuals.
Excellent administrative abilities and attention to detail.
Great communication skills.
